Hickory Tree is an award-winning women's chorus dedicated to the all-American art form of singing four-part a cappella harmony in barbershop style. 2008 marks our 40th anniversary! We hope you enjoyed our orginal show, "The Best of Times", on September 28, 2008 — and will join us for our Upcoming Performances.

Hickory Tree Chorus was overjoyed to have again won the First Place blue ribbon at the 2007 Greater New York Region #15 Regional Competition. As Regional Champions, we will represent our area in the Sweet Adelines International competition in November 2008, in Honolulu, Hawaii. NEW! List of awards we've won.
We're very excited about our trip to Hawaii, but before then we will give local performances, and work on our skills with some of the world's best teachers and coaches.
And best of all, we'll learn lots of new music.
HAWAII – Watch a live Webcast of Hickory Tree on November 6 in the Sweet Adelines International Competition!
Aloha! We compete in Hawaii on the island of Oahu this November 6, 2008 at the Sweet Adelines International competition... and you can join us live via a webcast! Thirty-three choruses and 51 quartets, from around the globe, will participate in the contests held November 5 through 8.
On Thursday, November 6, we are contestant #15, and we expect to be onstage at approximately 7:39 pm Eastern Standard Time (that's Hawaii local time 2:39 pm). We encourage our friends at home to watch at sweetadelineintl.org/webcast.cfm. But please surf in a bit early because contest times are approximate. If you like, you can support the webcast with a small donation (instructions on the webcast page). It's a great way to see the competition because there are no lines for refreshments or restrooms. Annual Scholarship
We congratulate April Bender, recipient of the Hickory Tree Chorus Scholarship for 2008! We are once again pleased to offer a $1,000 scholarship to a musically talented young woman interested in pursuing a career in music. Qualified high school senior girls with good academic records and exceptional talent in vocal music are encouraged to apply, for next year's scholarship. Applications will be available in early 2009.
